Evan Neely, also known as VIB3X (pronounced vibes), is a Producer/DJ local to Pittsburgh, PA who’s been in the music industry for 25 years. They graduated with a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Music Composition with a Minor in Conducting and an Independent Study in Sound Recording/Design 25’. They are an award winning music composer with his contemporary dubstep symphony Fa Sync performed by the Carnegie Mellon University Philharmonic conducted by Daniel Nesta Curtis which won the Composers Competition in 2020. They love collaborating with artists of all genres and fields while providing a revolutionary frequency as an innovator in the craft with the ability to crank out music like no other.

They’ve been working with IATSE Local 3 Stage Hands Union since 2022 with the biggest productions that have come to Pittsburgh including Taylor Swift, Travis Scott, Jhene Aiko, Post Malone, Tyler the Creator, Childish Gambino, Wiz Khalifa, Sean Paul, Da Baby, Drake, J. Cole, Sabrina Carpenter, Green Day, Mumford and Sons, Tate McRae, Phish, AC/DC, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Justin Timberlake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Mariah Carey, Odeza, Conan Grey, Ghost, Eric Church, Avril Lagvine, David Byrne, Dude Perfect, Hamilton on Broadway, Back to the Future on Broadway, and Disney on Ice; having worked in Audio, Lighting, Video, Pyro, SFX, Stage Management, Back Line, Carpentry, Power, and Climbing.

They also do 30-40 weddings a year as a DJ Assistant/Audio Technician/stagehand for Thomas P. Walter, Joe Costa, and TJ Harris. Having studied with these master wedding DJ’s, VIB3X has their playlists/organization skills and would love to enhance the most unforgettable night of two families coming together.

They know the industry/scene/culture very well and is all for collaborating/recording artists/bands. They would love to DJ in your event; also does provide Mixing and Mastering services, is down to give Production Lessons, informs many people with Creative Consultations to get your ideas off the ground by providing knowledge and connecting them with professionals. They were a student of Eric DeFade, Jesse Stiles, Dr. Natalie Ozeas, Dr. Marilyn Taft Thomas, Richard Randall, Dr. Annie Hui-Hsin Hsieh, Dr. Jocelyn Dueck, Steven Story, Luz Manríquez, Lance LaDuke, Paul Johnston, Anne Moskal, Benjamin Opie, Dr. Rizky Sasono, James Nova, James Gourlay, Drew Fennel, Hanna Wu Li, and his very own father Dr. Stephen Neely.

At the Vienna Summer Music Conducting Institute in 2018 they studied privately with Archie Birkner, Giuseppe Montesano, Simone Pironkoff, Wolfgang Schiedt, and Christian Schulz.

They also have studied Dalcroze Eurhythmics intensley; having studied with Stephen Neely, Dr. Annabelle Joseph, Nicole Brockmann, Judi Cagley, Silvia Contreras, Leslie Purcell Upchurch, Anthony Molinaro, Peter Kope, Michele de la Reza, and Stephen Moore.

Evan attended the Pittsburgh Creative And Performing Arts (CAPA) High School class of 15’ majoring in Trombone and Piano Performance.
